Entry Requirements：

1. Basic Historical Knowledge

This module focuses on core historical concepts, including the basic context and periodization of Chinese historical development (such as the period of the Hundred Schools of Thought in the Pre-Qin Dynasty, the era of unification in the Qin and Han dynasties, and the golden age of the Tang and Song dynasties), important historical documents and historiographical methods (such as the historical value of Records of the Grand Historian and Zizhi Tongjian, as well as the basic principles of historical fact verification), and the core characteristics of historical units (such as the political systems, economic structures, and cultural landscapes of various dynasties). It systematically assesses the basic framework of humanistic history, covering population migration and ethnic integration throughout dynasties, the evolution of urban and rural settlements (such as the planning of ancient capitals and the development of urban civilian culture), the relationship between agricultural, industrial, and commercial activities and social-economic forms, as well as the meanings and applications of historical terms (such as "feudalism", "prefecture-county system", "imperial examination system", and "canal transportation"). The content encompasses the regional characteristics of different historical periods and their manifestations in human activities, helping to deeply understand the basic classification laws of historical phenomena, the operation principles of historical systems, and historical diversity—including the constituent elements of historical phenomena, the evolutionary trajectory of historical processes, and an overview of major historical fields (such as political history, economic history, cultural history, and social history).

2. Historical Phenomena and Theoretical Principles

This module explores the causes, evolutionary mechanisms, and far-reaching impacts of historical events, such as the core incentives for the rise and fall of dynasties, the driving factors and implementation effects of major reform movements (such as Shang Yang's Reforms and Wang Anshi's Reforms), and the operational logic of major ethnic conflicts and cultural integration (such as the wars and peace between the Han Dynasty and the Xiongnu, and ethnic integration during the Song and Yuan dynasties). It analyzes the operation and adaptation principles of historical environments (such as the interaction laws between agricultural civilization and nomadic civilization, and the disaster response mechanisms in traditional societies) and core historiographical theories (such as the principle of productive forces and production relations in historical materialism, and the comparative method of similarity and difference in cultural history research). It conducts in-depth study of the interrelationships between political, economic, cultural, and social fields in history, the driving factors of historical environmental changes (such as the impact of technological innovation on production methods and the impact of wars on social structures), as well as the periodic laws of historical phenomena (such as the periodicity of alternations between order and chaos, and the evolutionary cycle of cultural trends). It also explores the role of human activities in historical processes (such as the impact of policy decisions by the ruling class on people's livelihood and the promotion of the times by the ideological propositions of intellectuals).

3. Historical Practice and Application

This module strengthens practical historical skills, including the use of common historical tools (such as reading historical documents and extracting historical materials, interpreting historical materials from archaeological relics, and analyzing methods of historical maps) and the handling of basic historical tasks (such as regional historical surveys, historical data statistics [e.g., collation of household registration data of successive dynasties], and drawing simple timelines of historical events). Through case analysis simulating real historical scenarios, it guides participants to interpret historical data and materials (such as tax records of successive dynasties, era marks in literati's poems, and archaeological excavation reports), evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of social environments in specific historical periods (such as the distribution and development of natural resources, and the convenience of transportation networks and regional exchanges), and formulate reasonable response plans for specific historical contexts (such as simulating the strategy formulation of ancient local officials in disaster relief and simulating the reform path planning under the background of modern national salvation). It initially applies historical research tools to conduct simple historical analysis, such as comparing similarities and differences between different historical materials, estimating the scope of influence of historical events, and comparing similar historical phenomena in different periods (such as the evolutionary comparison of official selection systems in successive dynasties).

4、Question Types and Difficulty Levels

The competition features diverse question types, including multiple-choice questions, fill-in-the-blank questions, short-answer questions, essay questions, and historical plan design questions (such as strategy planning in simulated historical contexts). The difficulty level is adjusted according to participants' age and knowledge reserves: the Children's Group focuses on the memory and simple application of basic historical knowledge, while the Youth Group emphasizes in-depth understanding of historiographical theories and the ability to solve complex historical problems.​
