2026 World Youth and Teenage STEM Science Knowledge Contest - Season 1 comprises three core modules: foundational STEM knowledge, including core science & engineering content, basic experimental and logical rules, and classic scientific theories & representative STEM models; STEM literacy and thinking cultivation, covering the evolution of scientific inquiry methods, the integration of STEM principles with real-world contexts, and the deduction and application of scientific reasoning rules; practical STEM application, involving the use of common scientific research tools, simulated analysis of interdisciplinary application scenarios, and daily-life application of STEM knowledge and practical skills. The competition has diverse question types with difficulty tiered by participants' age and knowledge reserves. The lower age group focuses on foundational STEM mastery and basic experimental operation skills, while the upper age group emphasizes STEM literacy application and interdisciplinary innovative practice abilities.

  • Special Gold Award (Top 12% of participants in the group)

  • Gold Award (Top 12%-25% of participants in the group)

  • Silver Award (Top 26%-45% of participants in the group)

  • Bronze Award (Top 46%-60% of participants in the group)

  • Excellence Award (Top 61%-100% of participants in the group)

  • Outstanding Group Award

  • Outstanding Mentor Award

Category:

Participants select the corresponding tier independently based on question difficulty.

Registration:

Complete registration by the deadline and finish the exam within the specified time via the exam link(The exam link will be sent via WhatsApp/Email.); a confirmation email will be sent upon successful registration.

Format:

Online exam with multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank and short-answer questions. Computers are recommended; mobile devices are permitted with limited functionality. Strictly abide by academic integrity; screen switching, impersonation and external assistance are prohibited.

Rules:

Exam duration is 30-45 minutes (tier-dependent). Answers auto-submit on timeout and only one submission is allowed per participant.

Content:

Assesses foundational knowledge and advanced problem-solving abilities.

Results:

For fairness, results are not released immediately. Final rankings will be notified via email/WhatsApp and published on the association's official website.

Exam Scope:

1. Foundational STEM Cognition

Assesses core knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, as well as the application of classic scientific theories and representative STEM models in exploration and practice.

 

2. STEM Scientific Laws & Interdisciplinary Principles

Explores core laws of scientific inquiry logic, STEM experimental analysis models and thinking methods; analyzes the adaptation principles of STEM scientific theories in different interdisciplinary application contexts.

3. STEM Practical Application

Masters practical skills in operating scientific research tools and handling basic STEM experimental tasks; interprets scientific data, evaluates experimental results, formulates interdisciplinary problem-solving plans based on real scenarios, and conducts simple scientific and technological analysis

 

4. Question Types & Difficulty Level

Diverse question types: multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, experimental analysis and short-answer. Difficulty is age-tiered: basic group focuses on memorization and simple application; advanced group emphasizes in-depth scientific and interdisciplinary understanding and complex experimental research ability.

The deadline for award applications is two weeks after the announcement of the results.

All awards will be mailed within eight weeks after the application deadline.

Awards and certificates will be sent via SF Express, cash on delivery.

All losses caused by incorrect recipient information or the recipient's own reasons (refusal of acceptance, failure to answer calls promptly, etc.) shall be borne by the recipient.
