World Youth Children's Short Video Competition

The online competition of the World Youth Children's Short Video Competition consists of three main components: Basic short video skills, including composition, camera techniques, basic editing techniques (such as transitions, music selection, and subtitle addition), and knowledge of short video genres (such as narrative films, documentaries, and animated shorts); short video culture and creation principles, including the historical origins of short video formats (such as early visual recordings and modern social media short videos), cultural symbols in folk short videos (such as the symbolic meaning of short videos related to traditional festivals), and the influence of social trends on the development of short videos; and short video practical applications, including short video work analysis, improvisational creation (such as shooting and editing a short video on-site based on a theme), and applying short videos to express ideas in real-life scenarios (e.g., conveying environmental awareness through documentaries).
The competition features multiple short video categories, with difficulty levels adjusted based on age and experience: the children's group focuses on foundational techniques (e.g., basic filming and editing); the youth group emphasizes creative expression (e.g., developing a personal filming style), thematic interpretation (e.g., exploring social issues through short videos), and problem-solving through short video creation (e.g., selecting appropriate filming techniques to convey specific emotions).
