2026 World Youth and Teenage Biology Knowledge Contest - Season 1 has three core modules: foundational biology including core biological concepts & laws, key biological phenomena & mechanisms and classic experiments & representative theories; biological literacy and thinking covering the evolution of biological analysis methods, integration of biological phenomena with ecological contexts and deduction and application of biological reasoning rules; practical application of biological knowledge involving common biological experiment tools, simulated analysis of biological scenario solving and daily interpretation of biological principles in life. The competition offers diverse question types with difficulty tiered by age and knowledge: lower age group focuses on foundational biology mastery and basic cognition, upper age group emphasizes biological literacy application and contextual reasoning.

Category:
Participants select the corresponding tier independently based on question difficulty.
Registration:
Complete registration by the deadline and finish the exam within the specified time via the exam link（The exam link will be sent via WhatsApp/Email.）; a confirmation email will be sent upon successful registration.
Format:
Online exam with multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank and short-answer questions. Computers are recommended; mobile devices are permitted with limited functionality. Strictly abide by academic integrity; screen switching, impersonation and external assistance are prohibited.
Rules:
Exam duration is 30-45 minutes (tier-dependent). Answers auto-submit on timeout and only one submission is allowed per participant.
Content:
Assesses foundational knowledge and advanced problem-solving abilities.
Results:
For fairness, results are not released immediately. Final rankings will be notified via email/WhatsApp and published on the association's official website.
Exam Scope：
1. Foundational Biology Cognition
Assesses core knowledge of biological concepts, laws and key phenomena, as well as the application of classic experiments and representative theories in understanding and interpreting biological processes.
2. Biological Laws & Scientific Principles
Explores core laws of biological operation logic, biological phenomenon analysis models and thinking methods; analyzes the adaptation principles of biological theories in different experimental and ecological contexts.
3. Biological Practical Application
Masters practical skills in operating common biological experiment tools and handling basic biological analysis tasks; interprets experimental data, evaluates solution validity, formulates biological problem-solving plans based on real-world needs, and conducts simple biological principle analysis.
4、Question Types & Difficulty Levels
Diverse question types: multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, experimental analysis and short-answer. Difficulty is age-tiered: basic group focuses on memorization and simple application; advanced group emphasizes in-depth biological principle understanding and complex biological problem-solving ability.

The deadline for award applications is two weeks after the announcement of the results.
All awards will be mailed within eight weeks after the application deadline.
Awards and certificates will be sent via SF Express, cash on delivery.
All losses caused by incorrect recipient information or the recipient's own reasons (refusal of acceptance, failure to answer calls promptly, etc.) shall be borne by the recipient.
