World Youth and Teenage Design Competition -Season 3

World Youth and Teenage Design Competition -Season 3 consists of three core modules: Design Basic Performance Skills, which covers creative hand-drawing ability and color control, proficiency in the use of design tools, basic design techniques (such as layout composition in graphic design, sketch modeling in product design, and line drawing in illustration design), as well as design style cognition (such as the interpretation of simplicity in minimalist design, the presentation of cultural charm in Chinese-style design, and the expression of interesting emotions in cartoon design); Design Culture and Creation Principles, including the historical origins of design forms (such as works of graphic poster design, industrial product design, and digital illustration design), cultural symbols in ethnic design (such as the implied meaning of auspicious cloud patterns in Chinese-style design, and the natural concept contained in Nordic design), and the impact of contemporary trends on the evolution of design styles; Design Practical Application, including the theme interpretation of design works, improvisational creation (such as completing a quick design plan based on the on-site given theme), and conveying concepts through design in real-life scenarios (such as conveying the concept of resource conservation or showcasing ethnic design characteristics through public welfare posters). The competition sets up a variety of design competition categories and customizes difficulty levels according to age and experience. The Children's Group focuses on basic skills (such as completing simple design sketches and mastering basic color matching), while the Youth Group emphasizes creative expression (such as developing a unique design style), work interpretation (such as exploring the in-depth theme of a work through design details), and the ability to solve problems through design creation (such as selecting appropriate design forms and creative methods to convey specific concepts or needs).
